Clinical Supply Chain & CMO Manager (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Supply Chain & CMO Manager to lead outsourced drug labeling, packaging, and device assembly activities across a global network of Contract Manufacturing Organizations. The position is based in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland and runs for an initial 11‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage clinical drug labeling, packaging, and device assembly outsourced to global CMOs.
• Lead CMO onboarding, project execution, timeline management and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with Procurement on RFPs, vendor selection, SOWs and supply agreements.
• Define supply strategies, own budgeting and financial oversight for outsourced projects.
• Establish governance structures, monitor KPIs and represent the CMO function in S&OP processes.
• Handle operational orders, master data and purchasing activities within SAP/ERP systems.
• Create purchase orders, review supplier invoices and oversee pre‑ and post‑production order execution.
• Drive supplier relationship management and identify process improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing or supply chain environments.
• Strong background in clinical supply chains, outsourced operations or CMO management.
• Proven GMP knowledge and experience in regulated pharmaceutical settings.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in a global, cross‑functional context.
