Commercial Operations Coordinator

About the role

Bathco is seeking a Commercial Operations Coordinator to act as the operational project manager behind its trades. The role ensures seamless alignment between Trading, Logistics, Trade Finance and Hedging from deal capture to settlement, supporting the company’s green aluminium and decarbonisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate Trading, Logistics, Trade Finance, Hedging and Middle Office throughout the full trade lifecycle.
• Translate trader instructions into clear workflows and ensure consistent execution across teams.
• Maintain timelines, follow‑ups and cross‑department alignment.
• Oversee booking, documentation, shipments, invoicing, LC issuance and hedge matching.
• Ensure physical, financial and hedging flows remain fully aligned.
• Identify risks or discrepancies early and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate ERP/CTRM data and support process discipline.
• Contribute to process improvements, transparency and operational KPIs.
• Resolve documentation issues, laytime/demurrage, LC discrepancies and claims.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and escalate risks when needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in trade operations, logistics, middle office or trade finance (commodities preferred).
• Strong coordination and project‑management mindset with ability to keep teams aligned.
• High attention to detail, proactive problem‑solving and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP/CTRM systems.
• Knowledge of letters of credit (LCs) and trade finance workflows.
• Familiarity with hedging coordination.
• Understanding of international logistics and shipping documentation.
