Communication Assistant – Internal Engagement

About the role

UNICEF’s Private Fund Raising and Partnerships (PFP) unit is looking for a Communication Assistant to support internal communication, knowledge management and administrative functions for the Ecosystem Engagement team in Rome.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Ecosystem Engagement team.
• Assist the Communication Manager and Knowledge Management Specialist with content creation, intranet updates and newsletter preparation.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and support webinars or knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Monitor and report on the team’s budget, ensuring compliance with grant and expenditure rules.
• Handle procurement requests, travel invoice processing and attendance tracking.

Required profile

• Secondary education completed.
• Minimum five years of relevant administrative or clerical experience.
• Proven experience maintaining repositories, intranet pages or collaboration platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with budget preparation, monitoring utilization and grants tracking.
• Fluent English; additional UN language is a plus.
