Compliance Officer – AML/KYC (2‑3 month contract)

About the role

Alpinum Solutions is seeking a Compliance Officer for a short‑term, 2‑3 month mandate in Zurich. You will support the client’s business and sales teams by ensuring all onboarding and ongoing activities meet Swiss AML and financial‑crime standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process compliance onboarding requests from business and sales teams.
• Perform AML/KYC checks in line with Swiss AMLA/GWG requirements.
• Conduct UBO and ownership/control structure reviews.
• Support sanctions, anti‑bribery, and anti‑corruption screenings.
• Assess insurance (preferably life) client relationships from a compliance perspective.
• Act as liaison between Business and Compliance teams.
• Clear compliance backlog within tight deadlines.
• Document findings and maintain compliant case records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AML and financial‑crime compliance.
• Strong knowledge of the Swiss AMLA/GWG regulatory framework.
• Experience with UBO investigations and customer onboarding processes.
• Insurance experience highly preferred, ideally in life insurance; banking experience also valuable.
• Ability to take ownership of cases and work independently.
• Plug‑and‑play profile requiring minimal onboarding and training.
• Strong operational mindset in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluency in Swiss German.
