Consultant / Senior Consultant Global Mobility Services

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Global Mobility Services (GMS) team in Geneva. The role focuses on Swiss individual tax compliance and advisory for expatriates and internationally mobile employees, supporting both internal and client-facing tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Swiss tax returns with international exposure, including tax equalisation calculations and projections.
• Draft and manage correspondence with tax authorities on notices, audits, rulings and appeals for individuals and expatriates.
• Advise clients on Swiss tax residency, cross‑border tax implications, social security, taxable benefits and reconciliation processes.
• Support negotiations with tax authorities and collaborate with other KPMG offices and client HR/Tax teams.
• Assist in the preparation of engagement letters, client proposals and invoicing.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Strong interest in taxation with initial experience in Swiss individual tax, preferably from a Big Four or fiduciary environment.
• Proactive mindset, ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical aptitude and strong organizational skills.
• Fluent in French and English; additional language is a plus.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Swiss individual tax legislation and compliance.
• Experience with tax equalisation, tax projections and cross‑border tax issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively with tax authorities and multinational clients.
