Design Internship

About the role

Gravis Robotics is building an autonomous fleet of earth‑moving machines and needs a Design Intern to help shape the visual and interaction experience of its Slate platform. You will work alongside game designers, UX/UI designers, developers and engineers to create a fast, reliable, and delightful spatial UI for operators in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the Gravis design system by building, documenting, and maintaining UI components.
• Explore and integrate AI‑assisted design tools (e.g., generative UI, design‑to‑code workflows) to accelerate output.
• Support brand definition work, including visual language, tone, color, and typography across touchpoints.
• Conduct UX audits of the Slate interface and web presence, proposing improvements.
• Create UI mockups, prototypes, and visual assets for internal and external use.
• Document design decisions and add to the growing design knowledge base.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual taste, attention to detail, and design thinking.
• Proficiency in Figma.
• Interest in AI‑assisted design tools or willingness to learn them.
• Ability to work independently, move quickly, and maintain quality.
• Fluency in English.
