EI&C MES DeltaV Application Manager

About the role

Join Lonza's Engineering team in Visp as an EI&C MES DeltaV Application Manager. You will drive the evolution of the MES DeltaV (formerly Syncade) landscape across its full lifecycle, shaping digital manufacturing and ensuring GMP‑compliant system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and lead MES DeltaV projects through requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain, optimise, and develop MES standards to ensure consistency, compliance and alignment with site and global guidelines.
• Collaborate with Operations, QA, Automation and IT/OT teams to guarantee seamless system integration and high availability.
• Analyse and improve MES‑related workflows, identifying opportunities for digitalisation, efficiency gains and data‑integrity improvements.
• Coordinate external partners and vendors involved in MES or OT‑related projects and support activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Industrial IT/OT, Automation Engineering or related field (Bachelor or higher).
• Significant professional experience with IT/OT, MES DeltaV (Syncade) or automation engineering in a regulated environment.
• Solid understanding of GMP requirements and experience with validated production or automation systems.
• Fluent German or English (minimum B2) for collaboration with local and global stakeholders.
• Structured, independent working style with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• MES DeltaV (formerly Syncade) lifecycle management.
• OT network knowledge and system architecture design.
• Virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware).
• Basic cybersecurity principles for industrial systems.
• Experience with GMP‑compliant documentation, change control and validation readiness.
