Employee Communications Officer

About the role

The Group Corporate Affairs Department is seeking an Employee Communications Officer to strengthen employee engagement, advocacy and talent retention across Glencore’s global workforce. Reporting to the Head of Employee Communications, you will design and deliver communication, culture and change‑management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement communications, change and culture strategies across commodity departments and functions.
• Develop and manage campaigns, content and projects to boost employee engagement, advocacy and talent retention.
• Deliver internal campaigns that reinforce Glencore’s values of safety, integrity, accountability, openness, simplicity and entrepreneurialism.
• Plan, organise and execute virtual and face‑to‑face internal events, town halls and workshops from concept to delivery.
• Utilise digital (including AI) and analogue channels to reach diverse employee groups in both asset sites and offices.
• Run innovative communication campaigns supporting digital transformation, cultural enhancement and organisational change.
• Maintain brand consistency across all employee‑facing collateral in line with Glencore design guidelines.
• Monitor employee sentiment and engagement using analytical tools and adjust communications accordingly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, organisational psychology, business administration, change management or a related field.
• Proven project leadership and change‑management experience across multiple locations.
• Experience in planning and delivering internal events, town halls or workshops.
• Strategic thinker with ability to design and implement communications, culture and transformation initiatives.
• Strong judgement, decision‑making and prioritisation skills in complex environments.
