Energy, Housing & Land Management Internship

About the role

This internship is based in the Energy, Housing and Land Management Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva. It offers a full‑time, in‑person experience for up to six months, focusing on sustainable energy development and policy support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organising and servicing intergovernmental and expert meetings covering energy security, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and related topics.
• Conduct research, data analysis, and draft short studies or articles on the division’s priority areas.
• Support social media campaigns and outreach by preparing promotional content.
• Collect and analyse data through web searches and help prepare documentation for various projects.
• Provide meeting support, draft reports, and update UNECE databases as needed.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
• Official academic certificate must be provided later.
• No prior professional experience required.
