Executive Director FP&A and Process Innovation

About the role

The Executive Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Process Innovation will lead Viking's FP&A team at the European Head Office in Basel. This senior position supports dynamic operational growth by delivering strategic financial insights and driving AI‑enabled process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small group of Senior Experts in Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Oversee all strategic short‑ and long‑term financial planning and budgeting activities.
• Drive innovation projects and implement AI‑driven solutions across FP&A, acting as the senior AI innovation expert for the Finance leadership team.
• Provide market trend insights and identify cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Lead continuous process improvement, harmonising planning processes and delivering new solutions.
• Partner with key stakeholders to produce accurate forecasts based on solid assumptions.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in FP&A.
• Strong focus on digital innovation with documented AI‑innovation project experience (preferred).
• Proven leadership and people‑development capabilities.
• Ability to translate financial drivers into actionable insights and strong stakeholder management.
• Excellent project‑management and process‑optimization track record.
• Detail‑oriented, accuracy‑driven and process‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent English communication skills.
