Experienced Tax Advisor – Private Banking

About the role

The client seeks an experienced Tax Advisor to join the Private Banking Division. The role serves as the technical point of contact for private and commercial clients in Switzerland and abroad, working closely with client advisors and pension specialists to deliver integrated wealth‑management advice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face tax consulting on investments, wealth and estate planning, and corporate matters.
• Collaborate with the Tax and Pension Advisory Team and Relationship Managers to analyse client portfolios and meet client requests.
• Manage Swiss and foreign tax certifications, liaise with the Federal Tax Administration, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support the Investment Strategy Team on tax treatment of financial products, especially for Swiss‑resident clients.
• Coordinate with external law and tax firms for complex cases, estate planning, and asset protection.
• Monitor developments in Swiss and international tax regulations and keep the bank updated.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law or equivalent; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• Proven experience in tax advisory, preferably within banks, trust companies or tax consulting firms.
• Fluent in at least two national languages (Italian/German) and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills, client‑relationship orientation, and ability to work independently with discretion.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Swiss tax system (direct taxes, inheritance, gifts, withholding tax, etc.).
• Understanding of international tax law principles.
• Expertise in managing tax certifications and compliance documentation.
• Ability to assess tax treatment of financial products.
