General Counsel & Head of Legal

About the role

The General Counsel & Head of Legal will act as the senior legal advisor to Solvias’ executive leadership team and Board, shaping the legal, governance, compliance and risk framework for a fast‑growing, highly regulated life‑sciences group.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a global legal department structure, operating model and service delivery framework.
• Develop a legal roadmap aligned with Solvias’ growth objectives and establish scalable processes, templates and reporting structures.
• Build and lead a high‑performing in‑house legal team, manage external counsel and implement legal technology and contract‑lifecycle solutions.
• Lead commercial contracting, including master service agreements, licensing, vendor and procurement contracts, and negotiate complex deals with pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare partners.
• Develop and oversee global compliance, ethics and risk‑management programs covering privacy, anti‑bribery, trade and competition laws.
• Serve as corporate secretary or oversee corporate governance, advising the Board on fiduciary duties and managing board materials and corporate records.

Required profile

• Commercially minded legal leader with deep international experience in life‑sciences or related regulated industries.
• Proven ability to build and scale legal operations, policies and governance structures.
• Strategic thinker who can also execute operationally and manage cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.
• Experience supporting global business expansion, M&A activity and complex commercial negotiations.
