Global Apparel Designer

About the role

icebreaker is seeking a Global Apparel Designer to join its Product team in Stabio, Switzerland. The role focuses on creating natural‑performance apparel for both men and women, aligning design with the brand’s sustainability ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise, design and execute creative projects for global product and creative needs.
• Develop technical apparel using natural fibres, ensuring practicality and merchandising alignment.
• Collaborate with category teams, product directors, senior designers, developers, tech designers and merchandisers throughout the design‑to‑production cycle.
• Support seasonal storytelling, colour direction and trend research to produce mood and concept boards.
• Create detailed tech packs in Illustrator and manage trim design, approval and usage.
• Ensure on‑time delivery, accuracy and agile decision‑making during prototype review.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of apparel product design experience with comparable brands.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design, development knowledge and consumer awareness.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to change.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (including Illustrator).
• 3D product creation software such as Browswear or CLO.
• Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of garment construction and pattern‑cutting execution.
