Head of Learning & Development

About the role

As the Head of Learning & Development you will shape how learning is understood, designed and embedded across a global organisation. You will drive the lifelong learning strategy, align initiatives with business priorities and turn strategic ideas into measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve the global L&D strategy, offerings and lifelong learning culture.
• Translate business priorities into practical learning solutions, skills frameworks, career paths and learning journeys.
• Partner with the global Learning Community, HR and key stakeholders to position learning as a strategic lever for performance and growth.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of learning operations, tools, reporting, onboarding and key initiatives.
• Manage and develop a small, distributed team, fostering collaboration and solution‑oriented working.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Learning & Development within an international matrix organisation.
• Strong project and programme management capability to deliver scalable learning solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to engage senior leaders, challenge constructively and influence without formal authority.
• Leadership and change‑management experience, with the ability to embed learning into everyday work.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of modern learning approaches, including digital learning, AI‑enabled solutions and current L&D market trends.
