Head of Site Logistics

About the role

CSL, a global biotechnology leader, is seeking a Head of Site Logistics to lead its St. Gallen site logistics organization. You will be responsible for safe, compliant, and on‑time material supply to manufacturing, driving operational excellence and automation in a GxP‑regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of six, fostering accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure reliable, compliant execution of warehousing, picking and internal material movements, aligning with production schedules.
• Own inventory management, including cycle counting and audit‑ready verification.
• Define, monitor and report logistics KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Lead cross‑functional projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives while maintaining GxP compliance.
• Conduct structured problem‑solving, investigations, and validation of new logistics processes.
• Represent Site Logistics during health‑authority inspections and internal audits, managing CAPA commitments.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Procurement and International Logistics.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in logistics or supply‑chain operations within a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of cGMP, GDP and GxP requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, KPIs and cross‑functional projects.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with multiple internal functions and external auditors.
