IT Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Infrastructure Engineer to support, maintain and secure our cloud environment across Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. The role is based in our Zurich office and involves occasional travel to other Maverix locations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing GCP and Azure infrastructure, including networking, compute, and IAM configurations.
• Handle day‑to‑day Azure user and identity management tasks across Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Support infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Participate in incident troubleshooting, system monitoring, and security hardening efforts.
• Provide backup engineering support for the local on‑premises infrastructure.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform, covering basic networking and IAM concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure user and access management, including familiarity with Intune policies.
• Practical knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code and Ansible for configuration management.
• Ability to script automation tasks using Python and Bash.
• Experience with platform‑as‑a‑service solutions such as Nomad or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience in regulated industries and basic understanding of security frameworks and Swiss/EU data‑protection regulations is advantageous.
