IT Support Engineer – Rack & Stack Data Center Support

About the role

We are looking for two IT Support Engineers to join a one‑day dispatch on 27 May 2026 at our data centre in Dättwil, Switzerland. You will work on‑site to install and configure servers and firewalls, ensuring a clean and functional rack environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rack‑and‑stack activities for 4 servers and 2 firewalls, including mounting hardware and installing cage nuts.
• Route, dress, and manage cables using Velcro ties and label printers.
• Connect consoles, verify basic functionality with a laptop and console cable, and run initial tests.
• Label all devices and cables, validate physical connectivity, and troubleshoot any issues.
• Coordinate with remote teams via Microsoft Teams to confirm implementation and validation steps.

Required profile

• Proven experience with rack‑and‑stack implementations in a data‑centre environment.
• Hands‑on ability to mount servers, install firewalls, and perform cable management.
• Comfort working closely with remote infrastructure teams (“hands‑and‑feet” support).
• Basic network troubleshooting skills and familiarity with console connectivity.
