Junior Data Scientist – Analytics & Transformation

About the role

Join a high‑performing Analytics and Transformation team within Julius Baer’s global Compliance organisation. You will help shape the future of wealth management by building predictive models, conducting financial analysis, and supporting risk‑management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support data analytics and business intelligence projects focused on non‑financial risk such as AML, client review, and sanctions.
• Collaborate with internal IT and external vendors to design and implement best‑in‑class analytical solutions.
• Design, develop, monitor, and document predictive models following industry best practices.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to create quantitative solutions that optimise banking processes.
• Assess and manage change requests and deliver regular as well as ad‑hoc analyses and reports.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• 2‑3 years of banking experience with a focus on compliance, risk management, or legal.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data insights into clear narratives.
• Agile mindset, comfortable in fast‑changing environments.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
