Layout Engineer

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is a global leader in waste‑to‑value technologies. As a Layout Engineer you will act as the integrator for a defined portion of the plant, ensuring that equipment, piping, steel structures, foundations and air ducts work together seamlessly to transform waste into energy, heat, hydrogen or fertilizer.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate the assigned plant area by coordinating equipment layout, piping, steel structures, foundations and air ducts.
• Create detailed layouts for equipment, piping, ducts and supporting steel structures.
• Prepare, update and verify planning documents such as layout plans, load tables and end‑of‑design (EoD) files.
• Ensure compliance with internal work instructions, company standards, process engineering requirements and applicable codes (EN, ASME) as well as contract specifications.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in plant or layout design for waste‑to‑energy, power, oil & gas or industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of engineering tools including Aveva E3D/PDMS, MS Office, Navisworks (Simulate or Manage) and AutoCAD.
• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Master’s in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• Fluent English communication; German or French is a plus.
