About the role

Lonza is seeking a Training Manager for its Large Scale Small Molecules operations in Visp, Switzerland. You will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs that support GMP‑compliant manufacturing and help develop the skills of our workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct organizational assessments to identify training needs and gaps.
• Develop curricula, course outlines, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
• Facilitate training through classroom sessions, virtual platforms, on‑the‑job coaching, and e‑learning.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using surveys and assessments.
• Maintain comprehensive training records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage training resources such as venues, equipment, and materials.
• Utilize the Learning Management System (Cornerstone on Demand) to schedule, track, and report activities.
• Stay current on training trends and technologies and communicate progress to management.

Required profile

• GMP knowledge, preferably from a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Previous involvement in training development or delivery.
• Strong organizational and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Fluency in German and intermediate English.

Required skills

• GMP compliance knowledge.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, specifically Cornerstone on Demand.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• German language proficiency.
• English language proficiency.
