Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

DeepJudge is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, evaluate and refine AI systems powering its core products. You will own the full lifecycle of ML‑enabled components, from research and data analysis to production deployment and iterative improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Bridge research and production by translating cutting‑edge AI developments into scalable, production‑ready systems.
• Develop, train, evaluate, and optimise a wide range of machine learning models, ensuring efficient inference and robust deployment.
• Continuously advance search quality through innovative use of models, data, tools, and agentic systems, applying both offline and online evaluation techniques.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience training and serving deep learning models.
• Proficiency with at least one modern deep‑learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow).
• Familiarity with modern ML practices and building scalable AI‑powered systems.
• Experience with neural retrieval or agentic systems, or a record of publications in top venues (a plus).
• Ability to take ownership of product components, define technical vision, and navigate uncertainty.
• Thrives in fast‑paced environments, collaborates effectively across engineering and business teams.
• Passionate about solving complex problems and turning cutting‑edge ideas into production‑ready features.
• Exceptional communication skills for sharing complex ideas and incorporating diverse perspectives.
