Major Account Manager (Switzerland)

About the role

Datadog's Major Accounts Team drives new business and expands its footprint with its largest and most strategic clients. The team was founded in 2021 and is growing, and this is a remote position open to experienced account executives who enjoy technology and a fast-paced sales environment. The role involves prospecting targeted accounts, nurturing existing clients and closing deals, with regular travel to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect into a targeted set of accounts while running an efficient sales process
• Nurture existing client relationships and grow the Datadog footprint
• Maintain, build and own relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
• Develop a deep understanding of each customer's business
• Negotiate pricing and business terms by selling value and ROI
• Identify the business drivers behind every opportunity and determine the steps needed to close and gain customer validation
• Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency

Required profile

• 7+ years of enterprise software sales experience
• Experience selling to Fortune 100 companies and winning new business
• Experience managing a complex account team across multiple GTM ecosystem partners
• Success selling new solutions into accounts already using core technical products, and breaking into new business units with net-new products
• Consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals
• Able to prospect and build pipeline independently
• Experience working for an innovative tech company
• French preferred
