Mobile Engineer – React Native (Remote)

About the role

The company is seeking a Mobile Engineer specialized in React Native to join its fully remote engineering team. You will build and maintain a cross‑platform iOS and Android app that supports secure messaging, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and maintain mobile features for messaging, voice/video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup.
• Build user interfaces and integrate them with on‑device peer‑to‑peer core APIs.
• Integrate native features such as push notifications, camera access, biometric authentication, and background tasks.
• Profile and optimise performance on real devices, focusing on startup time, long chat sessions, media processing, battery consumption and network usage.
• Write and maintain unit and end‑to‑end tests, support CI workflows, crash reporting and systematic debugging.
• Collaborate with product, design and core technology teams, participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Significant professional experience in React Native and mobile application development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), Redux and Redux‑Saga.
• Experience with WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimisation, debugging and testing.
• Ability to work effectively in distributed or fully remote engineering teams.
