Network Architect (Cisco) – Winterthur Area

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Network Architect with deep Cisco expertise to lead the design and governance of our enterprise network landscape in the Winterthur region. The role combines strategic architecture work with hands‑on guidance for data‑center, cloud‑connected and hybrid environments, ensuring security, scalability and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and govern enterprise L2/L3 network architectures, including BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN and SDN‑integrated solutions.
• Define and maintain network standards, documentation and governance processes for high‑availability and resilient designs.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and major incident resolution across data‑center and hybrid networks.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, compute and storage teams to ensure end‑to‑end infrastructure integration.
• Support and optimise Cisco Nexus switching platforms and Perle IOLAN console server infrastructure.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and supporting enterprise and data‑center network infrastructures.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN and SDN technologies.
• Proven ability to lead technical escalations and architecture engagements.
• German language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
• Swiss citizenship.
