Network & Security Engineer (80-100%)

About the role

Albedis is recruiting a Network & Security Engineer on behalf of a leading cybersecurity company that supports customers across Europe in protecting their IT infrastructures, digital assets and sensitive data. You will join a growing technical team and help design, operate and improve secure network infrastructures, working with many technologies and supporting customers in demanding IT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, administer and maintain network infrastructures and security solutions, mainly on Fortinet and Cisco technologies.
• Monitor and support network and security environments to keep them stable and performing well.
• Contribute to the design, integration and evolution of secure infrastructures.
• Take part in technical projects such as deployments, migrations and software updates.
• Analyse and resolve incidents, help with escalation and problem management, and keep production environments reliable.
• Work with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Depending on your expertise, work on web application security (WAF), identity and access management (IAM/SSO), virtualisation or vulnerability management.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in network engineering and IT security, ideally within an IT service provider.
• Strong technical skills in network administration and infrastructure security.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, high availability, geographical redundancy and VPN.
• In-depth expertise in at least one complementary area such as WAF/IAM/SSO (especially Ergon Airlock), virtualisation (VMware) or Splunk.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable or GitOps-based deployment is an advantage.
• Fluent English, French and German required.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of Fortinet technologies, ideally with a Fortinet certification (NSE4-NSE7 or equivalent) and/or Cisco CCNP.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
• Confidence in communicating with customers and coordinating technical activities.
