Part‑time High School Math & Science Teacher/Tutor

About the role

Oxford Learning Centre Brampton Churchville is seeking enthusiastic part‑time teachers/tutors to support high‑school students in mathematics and science. The role involves delivering pre‑planned lessons to small groups after school and on Saturdays, helping learners build confidence and mastery of key concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to three students simultaneously, covering grades 9‑12 math and science topics.
• Deliver lessons both in‑person and online following Oxford Learning’s methodology.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily communication updates for each student.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and foster a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (or fourth‑year university student with extensive tutoring experience).
• Strong knowledge of senior high‑school math (advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus) and science (physics, chemistry, biology).
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to commit to the school year and, preferably, continue through the summer.
• Willingness to undergo vulnerable sector screening and commute to the Brampton location.
