Procurement Business Expert (SME)

About the role

The Procurement Functional SME will lead the end‑to‑end design and readiness of future GCC procurement processes, ensuring alignment with the retained organisation, GBSO landscape and ERP transformation programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of GCC Source‑to‑Pay procurement processes, aligning with global standards, policies and ERP templates.
• Define future‑state operating models and foster collaboration between Procurement, GBSO, ERP teams, business stakeholders and governance bodies.
• Drive procurement design workshops and embed procurement requirements in cross‑functional transformation initiatives.
• Review, validate and govern procurement process documentation, workflows, SOPs and AI‑generated outputs.
• Support transition and service readiness, ensuring controls, hand‑offs, training materials and Day‑1 operational capability.
• Establish and monitor service performance frameworks, including SLAs, KPIs, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Identify and champion automation, digital enablement and standardized best practices for scalable procurement operations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, HR or related field; professional certifications preferred.
• 8‑10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain transformation, shared services or operating model design within complex global organisations.
• Proven track record supporting GBS/SSC implementations and large‑scale ERP transformations, especially SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience in consulting environments and familiarity with AI‑enabled process documentation tools; life sciences or CDMO exposure is a plus.
