Restaurant Manager – Orsini Team

About the role

We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead the Orsini Service team at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich. The role involves ensuring impeccable guest service, overseeing daily operations, and driving continuous improvement in a luxury hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the contact person for the restaurant team and represent the Director of Food & Beverage in their absence.
• Create and control staff rosters, holiday planning and ensure smooth, guest‑oriented work processes across all departments.
• Develop employees through feedback, appraisal interviews and coaching.
• Coordinate daily restaurant operations to meet quality standards and handle guest complaints professionally.
• Identify and implement service and sales opportunities, manage projects and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training in upscale hotel or catering industry with 2‑3 years of similar experience.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, able to manage multicultural teams with sensitivity.
• Excellent communication, high quality awareness and a professional appearance.
• Resilience and flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of various cash‑register systems.
