Risk Analytics Lead – Atlas Axis

About the role

Atlas Axis is looking for a Risk Analytics Lead to design and iterate the risk engine that safeguards Sky’s ecosystem. You will own the development of a comprehensive risk framework that protects the USDS peg while enabling fast‑moving prime agents to allocate capital across DeFi and real‑world assets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain portfolio‑level and product‑level capital buffers across multiple asset classes.
• Develop liquidity policies that distinguish immediately‑usable versus quickly‑convertible assets to defend the USDS peg.
• Build scalable operational tooling for a Basel‑inspired capital model adapted to DeFi lending markets.
• Craft technical frameworks for smart‑contract, admin, and process risk, ensuring safe deployment of novel protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers, legal, capital allocators, and risk partners in fast‑paced decision forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quantitative risk modeling, preferably within crypto, DeFi, or traditional finance.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate qualitative uncertainties into quantitative parameters.
• Comfort operating in high‑stakes, real‑time environments and making discretionary risk decisions.

Required skills

• Risk modeling and capital allocation concepts (e.g., Basel frameworks).
• Understanding of DeFi primitives, smart‑contract risk, and liquidity management.
• Ability to build operational tools and dashboards for risk monitoring.
