About the role

The Production Scheduler at Lonza in Visp is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the short‑term production schedule, ensuring alignment with labor, asset capacities and material availability. The role is fully site‑based, requiring close real‑time collaboration to meet the highest quality and safety standards in medicine manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Create, supervise and maintain short‑term schedules, incorporating input from all relevant departments.
• Drive optimization of schedules by balancing demand priorities, production sequencing and efficient use of facilities, equipment, staff and materials.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts promptly with stakeholders and maintain detailed planning parameters in the planning system.
• Generate critical metrics and operational measures to identify trends and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with extensive end‑to‑end supply chain background.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to engage in difficult conversations.
• Proficiency in English and German, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Strong SAP background in financial, scheduling and materials planning.
• Experience with Planview (additional benefit) and knowledge of APICS CPIM standards.
