Scientific Account Executive

About the role

Adaptyv is seeking a Scientific Account Executive to bridge cutting‑edge AI‑driven protein design with hands‑on wet‑lab experimentation. You will act as the primary liaison for customers, guiding them from initial conversation through experiment design, execution, and result interpretation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical sales calls covering binding kinetics, expression systems, and assay design.
• Onboard new customers, helping them design and launch their first experiments on the platform.
• Monitor ongoing accounts, flag issues early, and propose next steps based on experimental results.
• Collaborate with the biology team to troubleshoot experiments and ensure accurate data communication.
• Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts, such as new targets, assay types, or larger campaigns.

Required profile

• Scientific background in protein engineering, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field.
• Experience in a customer‑facing technical role (e.g., field application scientist, technical sales, scientific account management).
• Commercially driven mindset with a focus on revenue and pipeline growth.
• Strong communication skills, able to adapt explanations for scientists and business leaders.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of binding kinetics (KD, kon, koff) and assay design.
• Knowledge of assay platforms such as BLI, SPR, and cell‑free expression.
• Ability to translate experimental data into actionable insights for protein engineering projects.
