About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Budgeting Officer to join its Budget Division in Geneva. The officer will support the preparation and oversight of the organization’s annual Programme and Budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and resource constraints.

Key responsibilities

Prepare the annual Programme and Budget and related financial documents.
Provide advice on budgetary matters to Country Offices and project teams.
Develop and maintain guidelines and procedures for budget preparation.
Ensure institutional requirements are incorporated into all budgets.
Prepare the assessment scale used to calculate Member State contributions to the Administrative Part of the Budget.
Monitor that costs are appropriately budgeted and allocated to meet program objectives.

Required profile

Professional experience in budgeting and financial management within an international organization.
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
Familiarity with UN or multilateral budgeting processes is advantageous.
