Senior Compliance Officer (Zurich)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our Zurich team at Crypto Finance Group, a leading provider of digital‑asset services for institutional clients. The role sits in a small, dynamic compliance unit and offers exposure to a broad range of regulatory and operational topics in the fast‑growing crypto‑finance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert on compliance matters, especially AML, KYC and sanctions.
• Conduct client onboarding, file reviews and advanced transaction monitoring, including blockchain forensics.
• Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) where required.
• Interpret evolving regulatory requirements and embed them into processes, documentation, controls and business initiatives.
• Coordinate with legal, first‑line and operational‑risk teams.
• Develop and maintain the compliance framework, risk assessments, policies, processes and controls.
• Conduct second‑line monitoring, deliver compliance training and support internal and external audits.
• Lead independent compliance projects.

Required profile

• University degree (or university of applied sciences); additional qualifications such as Swiss CPA are a plus.
• Relevant experience in the Swiss financial industry, preferably in AML/compliance.
• Strong interest in distributed‑ledger technology and crypto assets.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Residency in the Greater Zurich area.
• Team player with decisiveness and pragmatism.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Swiss AML regulations and the CDB framework.
• Expertise in KYC procedures and cross‑border sanctions regimes.
• Experience with blockchain forensics and transaction monitoring tools.
