Senior Director, Product Lead Ophthalmology

About the role

The Senior Director, Product Lead Ophthalmology is accountable for global product strategy and commercialization of an ophthalmology product for a retinal disease. You will lead cross‑functional teams to expand into new markets and manage lifecycle plans.

Key responsibilities

• Enable geographic expansion into key markets such as Brazil, China and Japan, working with regional commercial teams.
• Identify additional expansion opportunities and develop business cases for internal approval.
• Develop and execute robust global lifecycle management plans for new and existing markets.
• Drive alignment across Commercialization, Development, and PO&T functions to deliver program priorities.
• Monitor external environment and competition to refine product strategy.

• Dynamic leader with strategic mindset and deep biopharma industry knowledge.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership ability and experience managing high‑performing teams.
• Proven track record navigating complex market dynamics with analytical precision.
• Passion for innovation and strategic growth in ophthalmology.

Required skills

• 12+ years experience in commercial or business functions within biopharma.
• Marketing competence and understanding of go‑to‑market, access considerations and commercial P&L.
• Strong planning, analytics, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and developing effective teams.
