Senior Fiduciary Accountant

About the role

Our client, an international fiduciary services provider based in Zug, is seeking a Senior Fiduciary Accountant with hands‑on experience in Swiss fiduciary (Treuhand) work. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for accounting, tax and payroll administration, managing client mandates independently.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface between the accounting team and clients, providing expertise in accounting, tax and payroll.
• Independently manage financial administration for Swiss client companies, including preparation and review of financial statements, tax filings, VAT and payroll.
• Lead the closing process and produce financial reports in line with the Swiss Code of Obligations (SCO).
• Prepare reporting packages, cash‑flow statements and transition calculations from IFRS/US GAAP to SCO.
• Collaborate with legal and tax advisors to ensure compliance with local legislation.
• Support team heads on complex cross‑departmental projects and commercial opportunities.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Participate in incorporation, restructuring and liquidation projects, with possible board member responsibilities.

Required profile

• Swiss Federal Diploma in Accounting/Fiduciary or equivalent fiduciary expert qualification.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on fiduciary/Treuhand experience in Switzerland.
• Proven experience managing client mandates and the full financial closing process.
• Strong knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken); French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, Abacus, SAP, Viewpoint and Dr. Tax.
• Ability to prepare IFRS‑based financial statements and perform transition calculations to SCO.
