Senior Finance Manager / Chartered Accountant

About the role

Glaze Hospitality AG, a Zurich-based hospitality investment, development and operating company, is looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant or Senior Finance Manager to support its expansion, oversee financial performance and give strategic financial advice across its portfolio. The role works closely with the Founder & CEO, external advisors, legal teams and operational partners. The position is full-time or part-time, to be discussed.

Key responsibilities

• Investment analysis and due diligence: assess restaurant acquisitions, new properties and investment opportunities, prepare financial models, cash flow forecasts and feasibility studies, and evaluate leases and capital commitments.
• Restaurant development and construction finance: oversee budgets for construction, renovations and fit-outs, monitor CAPEX and contractor payments, and coordinate with architects, project managers and contractors.
• Franchise agreements and financial structuring: review franchise and licensing terms, royalty structures and development fees, and work with legal advisors on negotiations.
• Financial management and cost control: review financial statements and management accounts, monitor costs, margins and cash flow, develop reporting systems and budgets, and oversee external accounting, tax, VAT and audit providers.
• Strategic financial advisory: advise senior management, prepare investor reports, support financing discussions with banks and investors, and set up financial controls as the company grows.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant, Swiss Certified Public Accountant, ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Ideally 5-10+ years of experience in accounting, transaction advisory, audit, corporate finance or financial management.
• Previous experience at a Big Four firm or comparable leading professional services firm in Zurich.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards, financial reporting and taxation.
• Fluent English; German strongly preferred.
• Hospitality, real estate or restaurant experience is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Financial due diligence, investment analysis and financial modelling.
• Understanding of commercial leases, construction budgets and corporate financial structures.
