Senior M&A Manager / Project Leader – Corporate Development & Strategy

About the role

The Senior M&A Manager / Project Leader will be based at the headquarters of a multi‑billion‑franc industrial and consumer manufacturing group in Zurich. Reporting to the Executive Board, the role is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s corporate development agenda, including M&A, joint ventures and strategic restructuring.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of high‑impact corporate development projects, defining scope, road‑maps and resource allocation.
• Navigate a complex, matrixed organization to build consensus among C‑suite executives, business‑unit directors and external partners.
• Lead the origination, evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, joint ventures and strategic divestitures, coordinating due‑diligence workstreams and external advisors.
• Develop robust business cases, financial models, valuations, scenario analyses and synergy assessments to underpin investment decisions.
• Prepare and present concise decision memorandums to the Group Executive Committee, advising on risk‑adjusted returns and capital allocation.
• Design and drive post‑merger integration or carve‑out plans, partnering with operational leaders to capture value from day‑one.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate development, M&A or strategy within a large, diversified industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Exceptional political agility and stakeholder‑management skills across senior and operational levels.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear strategic recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a matrix organization.
