Senior Payroll Manager

About the role

Batgroup is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to lead HR and payroll operations across its three brands – Batmaid, Putzfrau, and Batsoft. Reporting directly to the COO, you will ensure accurate payroll, compliance, and efficient invoicing for a large field workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end field payroll via SwissSalary, guaranteeing timely and 100% accurate salary payments, including adjustments, overtime, and family allowances.
• Manage yearly salary announcements (AHV/IS/LAA/IJM) and ensure strict compliance with Swiss legal requirements.
• Act as escalation point for complex payroll inquiries from agents, social workers, and unemployment offices.
• Supervise claims processing, social declarations, contract amendments, work certificates, and complex termination cases.
• Lead billing operations for Batmaid and Batsoft, handling client invoicing, overdue management, and coordination with debt‑collection partners.
• Drive corporate governance, internal controls, and zero‑tolerance compliance for work permits and labor agreements.
• Coordinate external financial audits and labor/union audits, preparing all payroll, HR, and billing data.

Required profile

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing HR or payroll teams in a high‑volume, complex environment.
• Deep, hands‑on knowledge of Swiss labor law, social security, payroll operations, and collective labor agreements.
• Proven track record handling external audits, social security, accident insurance, and union disputes.
• Fluent in French and English; German is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel to Zurich weekly.
