Senior Platform & DevOps Engineer

About the role

WasteFlow builds computer‑vision sensors for waste‑processing lines, connecting on‑prem edge devices to a cloud platform on AWS. We are seeking a Senior Platform & DevOps Engineer to own the end‑to‑end platform, ensuring stability, scalability, and rapid delivery of new features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure as code using OpenTofu and Pulumi.
• Automate sensor‑fleet provisioning, over‑the‑air updates, and configuration management with Ansible and a custom CLI/API pipeline.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, repository standards, and automated testing for multi‑repo Python packages and Docker services.
• Build, ship, and scale Docker containers on AWS ECS/Fargate for cloud services.
• Manage PostgreSQL 17 with TimescaleDB on RDS, including backups, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Maintain observability stack (Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana Alloy) and ensure system reliability.
• Support MLOps workflows, integrating MLflow model registry with edge deployment processes.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in platform engineering and DevOps.
• Proven ability to run production‑grade cloud services and automate large‑scale deployments.
• Comfortable working across the full stack, from infrastructure to edge software.
