Short-Term Internship 2027 – Facilities & Infrastructure Management

About the role

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, offers a short-term internship in Facilities & Infrastructure Management in Geneva. It is designed for students who want their first steps in the workplace, joining a team of experts and contributing to real projects that connect science, technology and innovation. The internship is fully onsite.

Key responsibilities

Required profile

• Currently studying in an administrative field, with a post-secondary degree (technical/administrative diploma, Bachelor's or Master's).
• Required or encouraged by your university to complete a practical training period.
• Eager to develop skills through on-the-job learning and enjoys teamwork.
• National of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State; Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish nationals are not eligible because the membership ceiling has been reached.
• Good knowledge of English or French, and enrolled as a full-time student during the internship.

Required skills

• Curiosity, precision and a proactive attitude towards learning.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.

What we offer

• A monthly allowance of 1,593 Swiss Francs.
• Paid leave for contracts of 4 months or more.
• Duration of 1 to 6 months, with ideal start date to be discussed and 40 working hours per week.
