Software Engineer – Python/PHP & PostgreSQL

About the role

As part of a dynamic technology team, you will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of banking applications and systems. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver reliable and high‑quality solutions supporting banking operations and evolving business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high‑quality banking applications using Python, PHP and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design and deliver new features and technical solutions.
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability and responsiveness, and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation and automation, and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools and standards, and support existing applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, PHP and PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, application architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript (advantage).
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Interest in banking operations and financial systems; banking experience is a plus.
