Sr Revenue Accountant

About the role

The Senior Revenue Accountant ensures the accuracy and completeness of all revenue‑related accounting, supporting the end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash process and month‑end close. This role acts as the primary escalation point for billing, revenue recognition, and accounts‑receivable issues while maintaining compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX.

Key responsibilities

• Own GL reconciliations for all revenue‑related balance‑sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries, including manual revenue adjustments, subscription revenue recognition, and bad‑debt provisions.
• Manage subscription billing, write‑offs, adjustments, and manual updates linked to training completion.
• Oversee monthly invoicing, manual invoicing, and resolve billing denials, under‑payments, and payment rejections.
• Conduct daily review of orders flowing from CRM to ERP to ensure data accuracy and revenue readiness.
• Support audit readiness by preparing documentation for year‑end and statutory audits.
• Drive transition activities for B2B accounting tasks to new teams, ensuring completeness and proper hand‑over.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in revenue accounting, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition, GAAP, and SOX compliance.
• Proven ability to act as an escalation point and resolve complex operational issues.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
