Supplier Quality Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to join a leading international manufacturing organisation in Zurich. The role focuses on driving quality performance across a global supply chain, shaping quality processes, and delivering measurable operational impact for high‑volume component manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality strategies and frameworks for direct‑material, high‑volume environments.
• Establish quality standards, control plans, and validation processes to ensure production readiness and consistency.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to improve quality performance and reduce operational risks.
• Lead process validation activities and embed quality requirements throughout the supply chain.
• Drive supplier quality initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance product and process performance.
• Execute continuous‑improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or a related technical discipline.
• Strong experience in Quality Engineering within high‑volume manufacturing.
• Proven knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Experience supporting industrialisation activities and process validation programmes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with stakeholder influence skills.
• Fluent in English; German (B2 or higher) is a plus.
• Willingness to work internationally with occasional travel.
