SWAN Core Developer (Full-Stack, DevOps)

About the role

As a core member of the SWAN team at CERN, you will design and implement full‑stack features, integrate the platform with other services and take part in DevOps, deployment and maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new full‑stack functionalities and service integrations.
• Participate in DevOps tasks, including containerisation, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure maintenance.
• Collaborate with other developers in an agile environment.
• Maintain code repositories, conduct code reviews and perform testing.

Required profile

• Experience in web development, preferably with Python.
• Hands‑on experience with DevOps, containerisation and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Fluent in English or French and willing to learn the other language.
• National of a CERN Member or Associate State, with up to two years of professional experience after a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

• Fixed‑term contract of 24 months, extendable up to 36 months.
