Tax Specialist – Crossborder Funds

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Specialist to support the investment professionals of an international Swiss bank’s asset management division in Zurich. The role focuses on cross‑border fund taxation, regulatory compliance and project management across a range of investment vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advice to specialists and managers on product development and terms and conditions.
• Support tax work for investment funds and private‑market investors, ensuring tax efficiency in transactions.
• Monitor cross‑border tax matters and coordinate with international fund competence centres.
• Review fund documentation for various fund structures and ensure compliance with FATCA and CRS.
• Coordinate tax projects with external consultants and oversee tax performance.
• Conduct trainings on tax, investment, law and compliance topics.
• Research legal and regulatory requirements and liaise with authorities.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Law or related field (MBA or law school is a plus).
• Professional experience as a tax lawyer, Big‑Four consultant, bank tax specialist or international law firm.
• Strong knowledge of investment‑fund regulations (UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID) and FATCA/CRS.
• Familiarity with traditional and alternative investments, including private equity, real estate, debt and infrastructure funds.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet ambitious deadlines.
• Team player with proficiency in MS Office and fluency in English and German.
