Tax Specialist – Private Equity (US & EU Markets)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Specialist to support our client, an international bank's asset management division in Zurich. The role focuses on private equity and other private market investment structures, ensuring compliance with US and EU tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on US, EU and reporting tax matters for private equity investments.
• Provide technically strong, commercially focused input across a broad range of fund matters.
• Review complex fund structures and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Guide reporting requirements, including schedules and investor disclosures.
• Support fund structuring, launches and ongoing operational tax issues.
• Act as the technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and investors.
• Identify and manage US tax risks and compliance obligations.
• Contribute to process improvement and best practices within the tax function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Law, Taxation or Economics (LL.M. in international tax law is a plus).
• In‑depth knowledge of US and EU fund taxation, especially private equity funds and partnerships.
• Experience with a Big Four firm or an international tax consultancy.
• Proven experience preparing US partnership tax returns for funds.
• Strong analytical mindset, goal‑oriented and able to multitask.
• Fluent in German and English.
