TCMS Software Developer Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a TCMS Software Developer Engineer to join our international team developing advanced train control and management systems in a safety-critical railway environment. The position is based in the Zurich area and combines on-site work with remote activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain TCMS software components using C.
• Implement control logic and functional modules based on system requirements.
• Configure and integrate Selectron-based TCMS hardware platforms.
• Support integration of TCMS networks such as Ethernet, MVB, WTB and TRDP.
• Collaborate with system engineering teams to translate requirements into software solutions.
• Participate in testing, validation and commissioning activities both in the lab and on-vehicle.
• Contribute to design reviews and ensure compliance with safety and system standards.
• Provide technical support throughout the development and verification lifecycle.

Required profile

• Experience in embedded software development, preferably in railway or other safety-critical domains.
• Strong professional proficiency in English.
• Ability to work with technical documentation and system requirements.

• Industrial communication protocols: MVB, WTB, Ethernet, TRDP
• Requirements management tools such as DOORS or DNG (a plus)
• Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams (advantage)
