Technical Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead capital‑expenditure (CapEx) projects within a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The role will guide projects from concept through execution and hand‑over, supporting both operational improvements and long‑term site development, including sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver engineering CapEx projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Manage the full project lifecycle – concept, planning, execution, commissioning support and final hand‑over.
• Develop and support business cases to secure funding and investment approval.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, environmental regulations, cGMP and internal quality procedures.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Operations, QA, EHS, Sustainability and global technical groups.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines and execution strategies aligned with business needs.
• Monitor cost, schedule, quality and risk, escalating issues as required.
• Drive clear communication across project teams and contribute to continuous improvement and decarbonisation efforts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of project engineering experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
• Proven track record delivering CapEx projects in GMP‑regulated environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field.
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
• Strong organisational, commercial and communication skills.
