Temenos Configuration Specialist - Payments

About the role

As a Temenos Configuration Specialist – Payments you will lead the functional configuration, integration, testing and deployment of Temenos payment solutions for a leading Swiss financial institution. You will translate business requirements into robust, secure and automated payment processing configurations across the full payment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Configure payment products, processing rules, workflows, routing, fees, limits, cut‑off times and settlement parameters within Temenos Payments / Payments Hub.
• Perform fit‑gap and impact analyses, create functional designs, configuration workbooks and parameter specifications.
• Support end‑to‑end payment flows (domestic, SEPA, cross‑border, instant, high‑value) including returns, recalls and investigations.
• Collaborate with architects and integration teams on interfaces to digital channels, payment networks, sanctions, fraud controls and reconciliation platforms.
• Define functional test scenarios, support system integration testing, user acceptance testing and defect remediation.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in banking technology or payments transformation, with at least 4 years of hands‑on Temenos experience.
• Proven track record configuring Temenos Transact and Temenos Payments / Payments Hub in multiple implementation or upgrade programmes.
• Strong functional knowledge of the full payment lifecycle in retail, corporate or private‑banking environments.
• Fluency in English (C1) and preferably German (C1) for client collaboration in Switzerland.

• API, message and file interface design, data mapping and batch processing.
• Reconciliation and accounting integration, SQL or comparable data‑analysis skills.
