Training & Development Specialist – Guyana & Suriname

About the role

Halliburton is seeking two proactive Training & Development Specialists to design, coordinate and deliver learning initiatives across Guyana and Suriname. The role supports workforce capability building, employee growth and regional talent strategies within the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and deliver technical, compliance and soft‑skill training programs for employees in Guyana and Suriname.
• Conduct needs assessments with managers to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
• Facilitate in‑person and virtual workshops, onboarding sessions and other learning events.
• Maintain training calendars, materials, records and reporting dashboards.
• Measure training effectiveness using evaluations, KPIs and feedback tools.
• Support regional Talent Management initiatives and contribute to curriculum development.
• Manage relationships with external training vendors and educational partners.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and country‑specific labour requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Training, Learning & Development or HR.
• Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within the country and occasionally across the region.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
